NEW: Teens in ActionTeen ProgramsNew this year; YMCA Teens in Action program gives high school students the opportunity to turn their ideas into meaningful community impact. Participants will develop leadership skills while planning and completing independent or small-group projects that address needs and interests within their communities. The program will also support teens interested in applying to YMCA national programs and other local civic engagement and leadership opportunities. Through guidance, collaboration, and hands-on experience, teens will build confidence, strengthen their applications, and gain the skills needed to become active, engaged community leaders. Program will alternate meetings weeks between White Plains YMCA and Yorktown YMCA at French Hill White Plains: 1st & 3rd Wednesday Yorktown: 2nd & 4th WednesdayTeen Programs 2026-2027 -

WaitlistYouth & GovernmentTeen ProgramsThe YMCA Youth & Government program is a free civic engagement and leadership program for high school students. Participants explore how government works, develop public speaking and critical-thinking skills, debate important issues, write legislation, and connect with other students who want to make a difference. Participants also have the opportunity to attend conferences, including the annual New York State Youth & Government Conference in Albany.
